FAQ →
As a separation or divorce guide, I offer holistic counselling and mediation with the aim of facilitating an amicable separation. I specialise in addressing children’s needs and emotions, as well as post-separation care. This service is intended for couples who believe they can separate amicably, reach agreement on key issues and prepare the necessary court documents together.
Separation isn’t a single agreement — it’s a process. Each partner usually enters it at a different stage and moves through change at their own pace. Trust has been shaken, circumstances and needs evolve, children grow up, and everyone is adjusting… Even so, it’s important to set up new arrangements and maintain the communication necessary for future cooperation.

HOW IT WORKS
Before we start, both partners must already have decided to separate (or accepted that decision), and their shared primary goal must be to reach agreement. We begin with a free 30-minute joint consultation.
If you’re not sure how to tell your children about the separation, I offer consultations and mediation to agree on a unified approach.
Information – tailored to your situation
- Legal information on custody and divorce proceedings: forms of care, child support, parental responsibilities, and parenting styles.
- Children’s feelings and needs during and after separation: finding solutions based on what your child needs; the effects of unresolved parental conflict on children.
- Additional resources — where to find more information.
Mediation
Focused on creating a parenting agreement or parenting plan.
For balance and effectiveness, mediation is conducted by two co-mediators.
Draft agreement
Joint preparation of a Proposal for Approval of Parental Agreement on Custody and Child Support to the guardianship court. In uncontested divorces, this includes jointly completing the Petition for Divorce. In more complex cases, a lawyer may be brought in to draft the proposal.
Post-separation parenting support
Ongoing support to help both parents remain good parents to their children — even though they no longer live together.
- Periodic evaluation and adjustments of agreements
- Support in communication
- Mediation of ad hoc situations
- Counselling in post-separation parenting
“The symbol in Chinese for crisis is made of two ideographs: one means danger, the other means opportunity.”
/ Virginia Satir

FAQ
1. Can we use your services just to arrange childcare? We know we won’t be able to agree on property division.
Yes, absolutely.
2. Can we book only the consultation about children’s experiences and needs during parental separation?
Yes, I offer that as a standalone service. If at all possible, both parents should attend, that way the session will be most beneficial for you and your children. The price is CZK 1,200 per hour, and you should expect it to take at least two hours.
3. Can our children participate in the mediation to express how would they like things to be after the separation?
Yes, but… Mediation must be preceded by a tailored parental guidance session on children’s experiences and needs. During that meeting, we’ll agree together on the purpose and form of your children’s involvement in mediation, and on how their wishes will be taken into account afterwards.
